Big Rip Classic FAQ

What happens if I signup for an AM division and my rating moves up?

You will need to move up to that division. We will be using the October ratings update this year. When the October ratings update happens, we will move affected MA4 players who have rated out of MA4 to MA3; we will move affected MA3 players who have rated out of MA3 to MA2; and so on. Once you are signed up for the event but rate out of your division, you are guaranteed a spot in the event.

How does the AM payout process work?

The tournament will be responsible for the AM payout and will have items for sale on Sunday at the Pro Shop at Little Black Creek Campground & Park. The payout will start as soon as the scores are tabulated for the division in question. The payout will be managed by the Ledgestone Rep on site and will include their entire inventory of Discraft Discs, baskets, bags, apparel, and other items. If you choose to use your payout on site you must use all of it. A gift card will be issued for Shop Ledgestone within 48 hours of the event for those that do not wish to use their payout on site.

What is the format for the rounds?

The full course schedule is located here: Course Schedule.  Every division will play one round each day with tee times.

Where can I find my tee time each night?

The tee times will appear next to your name when they are available here on the PDGA Event Page. The 1st round tee times will not be posted until 24 hours prior to the event starting. We will however send out an email to all players in advance with their division's estimated tee times so they can schedule their travel accordingly. Once the event has started we plan to have the next rounds tee times posted by 8 p.m. CST each night.

Do I have to pay the park fees each day of the event? What about Practice Days?

No, we have reserved the parks to be used from Friday - Sunday and you will not have to pay park entry fees at either park. The $5 LBC and $2 PBJ per person park fees will need to be paid on non tournament days.

Does my PDGA membership have to be current to Register and Play in the event?

Yes, you must be a current PDGA member to register for the event. DGscene will not allow you to complete registration without having a current PDGA membership.

I can not check-in on Thursday when can I pick up my player pack?

We prefer all players to check-in on Thursday but if it is not possible you can stop by the pro shop at LBC either Friday or Saturday to get your player's pack.

What is the refund policy and will it be enforced?

The refund policy is listed here and will be posted on the DGScene registration page as well. We will strictly adhere to our refund policy to protect the integrity of the event. Please review it prior to registering for the event.

What happens if I need to withdraw?

Please make sure to let us know by emailing bigripclassic@gmail.com - if you do not let us know that you are withdrawing you will receive an 888 designation with the PDGA, which will affect your rating. It is important for us to know this information in advance so we can adjust cards if we have to.

Can I request a specific tee time?

No, several factors are considered for determining tee times such as division size, speed of play, division type, etc. We can not accommodate specific tee time request.
